Addison Grace Hutchison
Addison Hutchison was born on January 23 2008 in Johnson City, TN to Shane and Shelley Hutchison. From the very beginning her beauty and personality captured everyone who was around her. Her big blue eyes drew oohs and aahs of strangers and friends on a routine basis.
While attending elementary school at Lakeridge Elementary school Addison quickly gained a love of reading, especially the works of Dr. Sues. That time also saw her start enjoying many out of school activities like baseball, soccer, cheer, swimming, dance and gymnastics. She enjoyed being around family and friends and loved play dates in her neighborhood.
Armed with a big smile and a caring heart, Addison took the move from Tennessee to North Carolina in stride. Her first year at Lakeshore Elementary was filled with new experiences and new friends. Much like her time in Tennessee, she enjoyed a good number of outside school activities including Girl Scouts, Swimming and the school book club. She also found her love of Gymnastics and took it very seriously. Her first real meet was met with tears as she did not medal. But, true to form Addison came back to practice with a grin on her face, determined to get better every day.
Even with all these activities going on, Addison’s favorite time was at the end of the day when, as a family we would gather together for wind down time to watch TV or just talk about our days. She loved being shoulder to shoulder with her parents. Additionally, Addison loved spending time with her brother Porter, and especially enjoyed making him laugh.
Addison was truly a kind and sensitive soul that believed in treating everyone with kindness and respect. She made sure to make even the most out of place child feel like they had a friend. She believed in being positive and went out of her way to make sure others stayed positive as well. She will be missed by all who knew her.
